Research on Resilience

Resilience is the subject of regular in-depth studies. Our conviction is that each child possesses major resources. These can be brought out and may help the child to recover if he is able to talk, if he is listened to with empathy, and if he feels he is supported. Read about a short definition of resilience

Stefan Vanistendael, sociologist and associate researcher at BICE, has been pursuing research on resilience in children for over 20 years, looking specifically at the ties between children’s rights and spirituality.
