Our actions in this region
The two main poles of experience of BICE in Asia are: early childhood care and development and children victims of abuse and/or sexual exploitation.
Our intervention philosophy in Asia is based on the basic principle that every child has rights that have been clearly stated in the CRC. Furthermore, resilience is an essential component for claiming those rights and therefore has to be promoted at every step in our projects.
Three action guidelines are promoted:
- The development of community structures and resource aiming at a better prevention and protection of childhood;
- The development and support of the children’s caregivers individual capacities;
- Team work with local NGOs, governmental services and local authorities to insure the durability of the action
