BICE enjoys NGO status, due to its operational relations with UNESCO and participates actively in the UNESCO-NGO Programmatic Commissions on :

• The eradication of poverty (studies on poverty and human rights)
• The dialogue between cultures for world peace
• The joint Programmatic Commission “Science and Ethics”
• Human Rights
• The joint Programmatic Commission “Education for all” and its sub-committee on “Early Childhood Education”
